Hot House West Legacy Band's Django in Orbit (2018) reimagines the spirit of Django Reinhardt for a new era. Recorded before Hot House West made the transition to a nonprofit 501(c)(3), The septet expands the traditional Hot Club sound by weaving three-part horn arrangements through the driving pulse of a Gypsy jazz rhythm section. Each track captures the band's playful approach to arrangement and improvisation, creating a fresh dialogue between Django's revolutionary guitar style and the American swing tradition. The result is both a tribute and a bold step forward.
